והזוג הנחמד שם מתחת לעץ חיבק, נשק, אהב, צחק והתלוצץ והעץ אז פתאום את שתיקתו הפר את צרותיו להם סיפר

And the nice couple there beneath the tree Hugged, kissed, loved, laughed and joked, And then the tree suddenly broke its silence And told them of its troubles.

עץ יקר, בשבילך, הם אמרו לו פתאום ליד ביתנו הקטן יש די מקום אתה שלנו תהיה, נשקה אותך יום-יום שלא תרגיש כל-כך איום
