[בית ב׳] מי הצר האורב לי בדרך המרעיל בארות נחמה האמנם רחשי גם עליך תנתך חמתי הסתומה

[Stanza Bet] Who is the foe lying in wait for me on the way, poisoning the wells of consolation? Is it indeed, my feeling, that even upon you my sealed wrath will be poured?

[בית ג׳] האמנם לשכך את הזעם של האל התובע כל בכור אעקוד על גבי המזבח גם אותך רחשי הטהור

[Stanza Gimel] Is it indeed, to soothe the rage of the God who demands every firstborn, that I shall bind upon the altar you as well, my pure feeling?
