Jimmy, pursuer of justice, and Dean, pursuer of peace, meet at the Red Well. Peace and justice hide in the gloom, lying there, not a sound, in a puddle, a puddle of liquor in the dimness of blood, or the dimness of liquor in a puddle of blood. And here they rise, pursuer facing pursuer, to chuckle a little and fade away, in a dim puddle at the Red Well; no wonder justice flees, no wonder peace flees.
