poetry is born.
When the hand does not tremble,
when the throat does not tighten

in their play,
as if through screens, a sea,
and you do not contort,
you do not crouch to the roots of your feet
to brace,
to clutch,
like a sapling
(so the wind won’t fell it),
but sit and gaze
into the void, into barrenness —
