I am the Ghriba, I reward with good; whoever visits me and comes to me. I am the sanctuary of the daughter of Asher; she entered paradise while still alive.

באבא יעקוב דמאני מלך אלמות לא יוצלני אלי יזור מקאמי ויצללי עאמרו מא יישוף חתא דונייה

Baba Yaakov Demani; the Angel of Death will not overcome me. Whoever visits my shrine and prays, his life will know no want in this world.

ואחנן תלאתה גריבאת גריבת אלכאף ואלענאבה וגריבת ג'רבה למצאובה יזורוהא אלנאש אלכולייה

And we are three Ghribas: the Ghriba of El Kef and Annaba, and the famed Ghriba of Djerba; people from everywhere visit her.

אלעקימה תג'י ותועד עֲ ותדרע בחדא אלסייד אלמניחה נעטיהא ולייד ואלקביחה נעטיהא בנייה

The barren woman comes and sits, and pleads before the Master. To the good one we extend a hand, to the ill-tempered one we give admonition.

יא נאש אנא נכאפיכם אלגריבה תדלל עליכם רבי מאיר יחאדיכם מן כול דונייה

O people, I will reward you; the Ghriba will care for you; Rabbi Meir will protect you from every worldly trouble.

יא נאש איג'או זורוני נשוף משיח בעיוני אינסאלה דימא לא תלומוני תזורוני באלפרחה קווייה

O people, come visit me; we will see the Messiah with our own eyes; God willing, never blame me; visit me with great joy.

פי כול עאם זורוני מרה ומה דוקושי חתא חסרה מה תכממושי אלכסארה נרד לכם אלפרנק באלמיאה

Visit me once every year; may you not taste even a loss; do not fear the expense — we will return the franc a hundredfold.
