ברוך הנותן ליעף כח וקווי ד' יחליפו כח פוקח עוורים ומתיר אסורים עד שתפקח עיננו כולנו סומים שעשה לי כל צרכי כי ממך כל אשר יש לי

Blessed is He who gives strength to the weary, and those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. Who opens the eyes of the blind and frees the bound; until our eyes are opened, we are all blind. Who has provided me all my needs, for from You is everything I have.

שאלו פעם את הרב שך למה אומרים שלא עשני גוי ולא אומרים שעשני יהודי ענה הרב ואמר הקדוש ברוך הוא עושה שלא תהיה גוי אתה עושה שתהיה יהודי

They once asked Rav Shach why we say 'who did not make me a gentile' and not 'who made me a Jew.' The rabbi replied: The Holy One, blessed be He, makes it so that you will not be a gentile; you make it so that you will be a Jew.

ברוך הגומל חסדים טובים הגדלת חסדך עלי כל הימים פוקח עוורים ומתיר אסורים עד שתפקח עיננו כולנו סומים שעשה לי כל צרכי כי ממך כל אשר יש לי

עכשיו אני מבין למה אומרים שלא עשני עבד ולא אומרים שעשני בן חורין כי הקדוש ברוך הוא עושה שלא תהיה עבד התורה עושה שתהיה בן חורין

Now I understand why we say 'who did not make me a slave' and not 'who made me a free man.' For the Holy One, blessed be He, makes it so that you will not be a slave; the Torah makes it so that you will be a free person.

ברוך אשר קידשנו וציוונו לעסוק בדברי תורה שהם עמלים ואנחנו עמלים שהם משכימים ואנחנו משכימים ואנחנו לחיי העולם הבא

Blessed is He who has sanctified us and commanded us to engage in words of Torah. They toil and we toil. They rise early and we rise early. And we are for the life of the World to Come.

ליהודים היתה אורה ושמחה וששון ויקר פתאום הרגשנו את האור שבתורה כי הקדוש ברוך הוא נתן לנו את האמונה ואתה עושה שתהיה בשמחה

For the Jews there was light and gladness and joy and honor. Suddenly we felt the light that is in the Torah. For the Holy One, blessed be He, gave us faith. And you make it so that you are joyful.
