[בית 1] הַלֵּב שֶׁלִּי נִקְרַע לִשְׁנַיִם מָה שֶׁלֹּא רָאֲתָה שִׁפְחָה עַל הַמַּיִם כְּמוֹ סוּפָה מִן הַיָּם ,הוֹלֵם כְּמוֹ תֹּפָהּ שֶׁל מִרְיָם , פּוֹעֵם וְאֵין תְּרוּפָה בָּעוֹלָם הַלֵּב שֶׁלִּי מֵרִים יָדַיִם כְּבָר מוֹעֵד לֹא עוֹמֵד עַל הָרַגְלַיִם שֶׁבֶר כְּלִי שֶׁאֵין בּוֹ כְּבָר מָה וְהַשָּׁמַיִם הֵם לִי חוֹמָה אֵיךְ אֶעֱבֹר בְּתוֹךְ הַיָּם בְּיַבָּשָׁהּ⁠

[Verse 1] My heart is torn in two What even a maidservant did not see upon the waters Like a storm from the sea, it pounds Like Miriam’s tambourine, it beats And there is no cure in the world My heart raises its hands Already tottering, no longer standing on its feet A broken vessel with nothing left in it And the heavens are a wall to me How will I cross through the sea on dry land

[פִּזְמוֹן] וְרַק אַתָּה יָכוֹל לַהֲפֹךְ מִסְפְּדִי לְמָחוֹל לְזַכֵּךְ אֶת הַחֹל לְרַכֵּךְ בִּי הַכֹּל וְרַק אַתָּה מֵבִין אֵיךְ לָגֶשֶׁת לַלֵּב שֶׁלִּי מְשַׁכֵּךְ כָּל כְּאֵב שֶׁבִּי מְרַפֵּא אֶת הַלֵּב

[Chorus] And only You can Turn my mourning into dance Purify the sand Soften everything within me And only You know how to approach my heart Soothe every pain within me Heal the heart

[בית 2] הַלֵּב שֶׁלִּי נִקְרַע לִשְׁנַיִם חֶצְיוֹ אָשֵׁם וְחֶצְיוֹ לְשֵׁם שָׁמַיִם כְּמוֹ סוֹפָהּ מִן הַיָּם ,הוֹלֵם כְּמוֹ תֹּפָהּ שֶׁל מִרְיָם ,פּוֹעֵם וְאֵין תְּרוּפָה בָּעוֹלָם ,לַלֵּב

[גשר] וְיֵשׁ עוֹד צַר שֶׁמֵּצִיק לְצֹאן וְאֵין צִיר שֶׁיִּצְעַק לְצוּר רַק אֲנִי מוּל יָם שָׁלֵם וְלֵב שָׁבוּר

[Bridge] And there is still an oppressor who harasses the flock And there is no envoy to cry out to the Rock Only I, before a whole sea and a broken heart
