אם נכשלנו בדרכנו סלח לנו אב יקר
אם רק בתפל עסקנו הזנחנו את העיקר
היום רוצים אנו אליך אל דרך הישר

If we have failed in our way, forgive us, dear Father.
If we dealt only with the trivial, we neglected the essential.
Today we wish to return to You, to the straight path.
We hope with all our heart that it is not yet too late.
מה נספר לך יושב מרום ומה לך נאמר
הלא מנגד עיניך דבר אינו נסתר
What shall we tell You, You who dwell on high, and what shall we say to You?
For before Your eyes nothing is hidden.

גם אם סרנו ממצוותיך אל מלא רחמים
היום שבים אנו אליך בבושת פנים
זוכרים שבנו האמנת מכל אותם עמים
רוצים ללמוד את תורתך באמת ובתמים
Even if we strayed from Your commandments, God full of mercy,
today we return to You in shame.
We remember that in us You believed among all those nations.
We want to learn Your Torah truly and sincerely.

השיבני ואשובה ותרצה תשובתי"

To You, my heart and my innermost being; to You, my spirit and my soul.
Return me and I will return, and accept my repentance."
