השמש שקעה ואין לצאת ואין לבוא
ראה את החיים עוברים לו לידו
החליט לעשות מעשה - וקם מעל הכסא
הלך לשאול אחד שהיה יותר מנוסה
אמר לו אל תתבכיין
התורה תריס ומגן
ואל בינתך אמר אל תשען
The sun has set—there’s no going out and no coming in.
He saw life passing by him.
He decided to take action—and rose from the chair.

וכל הרוקדים אומרים הידד וגם תודה
למי שהמציא לנו את זאת העבודה
מעמק לגבעה - ומגבעה להר
ומה שעשיתי היום – שלא אטעה מחר
אפילו אסע לסין - בהודו אהיה ברהמין
חשבתי להיות חסין - אבל הלב מבין
And all the dancers say hooray and also thanks

From valley to hill—and from hill to mountain.

בשמחה תצאון - ובשלום תובלון
ההרים והגבעות - יפצחו לפניכם רנה
וכל עצי השדה ימחאו כף
ועם ישראל כולו כולנו נשמח
With joy you shall go out—and in peace you shall be led.
The mountains and the hills will burst into song before you.
And all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
And all the people of Israel—we will all rejoice.
כולנו חוגגים את חג החנוכה
את פורים פסח טו בשבט וראש השנה
ואף אחד לא מפקפק - ואף אחד לא מצטדק
וזאת בדיוק בדיוק בדיוק הנקודה
יותר מדי לדקדק - עם ישראל מתחזק
בסוף בסוף בסוף כולנו נתחבק
We all celebrate the holiday of Hanukkah,
Purim, Passover, Tu BiShvat, and Rosh Hashanah,
