[Stanza I] For nights now I curl up in my silence, waiting in the dark, for someone to dare roll the heavy stone off me. I will not bite, will not shed my skin, will not come crawling. The long loneliness in the sand has pressed its seal into me.

[בית ב׳] כבר לילות אני מתכרבל בשתיקתי, פועם באפלה ושוב צעדים מתרחקים, ועוד האבן הכבדה חנקתי כבר, התפתלתי סביב עצמי, חפרתי מחילה לא היה לי מלבדי, הפכתי לפלדה

[Stanza II] For nights now I curl up in my silence, pulsing in the dark, and again the footsteps fade, and still the heavy stone. I have already choked, twisted around myself, dug a burrow. I had no one but myself; I turned to steel.
