לא מתהלכים עוד ברגליים יחפות
וליד המרפסת הגדולה
לא מבעירים עוד את עלי הצפצפות
In the house by the railway

השער סגור, הדלתות נעולות
התריסים מוגפים גם ביום
הרקיע פרוש ועיניו עוד כחולות
אך הבית חדל כבר לנשום
The gate is shut, the doors are locked,

חום השמש צורב, והגשם הולם
