Come, my beloved, to greet the bride; let us welcome the presence of Shabbat.
“Observe” and “Remember” — in a single utterance — He made us hear, the Unique God.
The Lord is One and His Name is One — for renown, for splendor and for praise.
Toward Shabbat — come, let us go, for she is the source of blessing.
From the beginning, from of old she was ordained; the end of the deed was first in thought.
Sanctuary of the King, royal city, arise, go out from the upheaval.
Long enough have you sat in the valley of tears; He will have compassion upon you.
Shake yourself from the dust, arise; put on your garments of splendor, my people.
By the hand of the son of Jesse, the Bethlehemite, redemption will draw near to my soul.
Awake, awake, for your light has come; arise, shine.
Awake, awake, speak a song; the glory of the Lord has been revealed upon you.
You shall not be shamed and you shall not be humiliated; why do you bow down and why do you moan?
In you shall the poor of my people take refuge, and the city shall be rebuilt upon its mound.
Those who plunder you shall become plunder, and all who devour you shall be far away.
Your God will rejoice over you, as a bridegroom rejoices over a bride.
To the right and to the left you shall burst forth, and you shall exalt the Lord.
By the hand of the man, the son of Perez, we shall rejoice and exult.
Come in peace, crown of her husband, also with joy, with song and jubilation.
In the midst of the faithful of the treasured people — come, O bride, come, O bride.
Come, O bride — Shabbat, the Queen.
