יְדִידִי הֲשָׁכַחְתָּ חֲנוֹתְךָ בְּבֵין שָׁדַי וְלָמָּה מְכַרְתַּנִי צְמִיתוּת לְמַעְבִידַי?

הֲלֹא אָז בְּאֶרֶץ לֹא זְרוּעָה רְדַפְתִּיךָ- וְשֵׂעִיר וְהַר פָּארָן וְסִינַי וְסִין עֵדַי

Was it not then, in a land unsown, that I followed you— and Seir and Mount Paran and Sinai and Sin are my witnesses.

יְדִידִי הֲשָׁכַחְתָּ חֲנוֹתְךָ בְּבֵין שָׁדַי וְלָמָּה מְכַרְתַּנִי צְמִיתוּת לְמַעְבִידַי?

וְהָיוּ לְךָ דוֹדַי, וְהָיָה רְצוֹנְךָ בִּי- וְאֵיךְ תַּחֲלֹק עַתָּה כְּבוֹדִי לְבִלְעָדַי?

דְּחוּיָה אֱלֵי שֵׂעִיר, הֲדוּפָה עֲדֵי קֵדָר בְּחוּנָה בְּכוּר יָוָן, מְעֻנָּה בְּעֹל מָדַי

Cast off toward Seir, driven as far as Kedar, besieged by the firstborn of Javan, afflicted under the yoke of Madai.

הֲיֵשׁ בִּלְתְּךָ גּוֹאֵל, וּבִלְתִּי- אֲסִיר תִּקְוָה? תְּנָה עֻזְּךָ לִי, כִּי לְךָ אֶתְּנָה דוֹדַי!

Is there a redeemer besides you, and am I not a prisoner of hope? Grant me your strength, for to you I will give my loves!
